Personal Information --- Evangelist / Editor --- William J. Stewart

Thanks for stopping by my page. I hope that you will benefit from The Online Bulletin's existence. For those who are interested in knowing a bit more about me, I have put together this page which give a small introduction to myself.

I was born April 10, 1974 in Kingston, Ontario. I was raised by my grandparents in a small hamlet by the name of McArthur Mills, about a 20 mile drive east of Bancroft, Ontario. From a very early age, I have been attending worship services amongst various religious groups. As 'religious' as I was, I had not heard "...the whole counsel of God..." A young woman by the name of Shelly Timmins (now Shelly Stewart) was instrumental in teaching me "...the way of God more accurately..." Having been shown from the Scriptures God's plan to save man (as opposed to man's plan for God to same man), I believed in the Lord Jesus (John 3:16), repented of my sins (Acts 3:19), confessed Christ as the Son of God (Acts 8:37), and was baptized into Christ (Romans 6:3-4) on August 20, 1991, receiving the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). In the months that followed my conversion, I studied diligently, having renewed and refreshed excitment about the message of the Scriptures. In February of 1992, due to a need in the church in Bancroft, I began preaching and teaching. I have not ceased (nor have I any intention of ceasing) since that time.

I moved to Kingston in the summer of 1992, having enrolled in the Business Administration: Accounting program at St. Lawrence College. That fall, on October 24, Shelly and I were married. Indeed, she has been a blessing from the Lord. I could not have asked for a better help meet. She has been a great support to me in the work of the gospel, both in encouragement and in working out of the home (on one occasion working 2 jobs at the same time) to help with our bills and payments. While in college, I preached for the Kingston Church of Christ. In the spring of 1995, after graduating from St. Lawrence, we moved back to Bancroft (due to a lack of employment in the Kingston area in the accounting field). We spent the next year in Bancroft, where I worked 2 part-time accounting jobs, and shared the preaching and teaching duties of the local church.

In the spring of 1996 we moved back to Kingston, having been asked by the members of the Kingston Church of Christ to return to the city to help in the work. We spent 3 1/2 years labouring for the Lord with the group there. Presently, I am preaching for the Limestone Church of Christ, a small group of saints zealous to spread the gospel message in it's purity. We are excited at the opportunities which the Lord gives us, and are aware of our Lord's words, "...look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest..." (John 4:35), and again, "...the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few..." (Mattew 9:37)
